Description
Vortex aluminum sprockets are the finest made. Vortex manufactures sprockets in a different way than its competitors. Vortex eliminates the process known as gear-hobbing which some companies employ to save manufacturing costs and time. Gear-hobbing involves the removal of the material before completion. Vortex has found that the tightest tolerances can be obtained by keeping the material stationary during the entire course of the process, resulting in perfectly round (thus longer-lasting) sprockets. Vortex also incorporates a different tooth design called the ideal design. The ‘ideal’ design stems from years of research into the precise workings of a chain and sprocket and dramatically increases the service life of the sprocket. Vortex uses 7075 aerospace aluminum, the strongest and lightest material for the application.Features:Made from the highest grade 7075 T6 aluminum, lightweight and durableStandard sprocket is bright-dipped with a clear anodization for a polished lookCNC machining to the tightest tolerances and a perfected tooth design make for greater longevity and free horsepowerMany independent race teams use Vortex sprockets exclusivelyVortex sprockets are the most used sprocket in the AMA paddock
